Uneven teeth

Worn front teeth can be caused by clenching/grinding or a gradual wearing down of the teeth over time.

The teeth can be restored either directly with a composite resin or indirectly with porcelain veneers or crowns.

In restoring teeth it is important to take into consideration the bite. The way the teeth meet when biting or chewing is very important to the longevity of the restoration. Any biting or chewing action involves the interplay of forces between the opposing jaws. These forces need to work in harmony or otherwise will create too much pressure on the restorations, causing them to break down.

In some cases it may be necessary to remove enamel to provide a more even look.
